The Alaska Airlines Visa is one of those cards I have strictly for the benefits and access to BankAmeriDeals. Recently, Bank of America added two new benefits to the card. Card members now get 20% cash back on in-flight purchases and 50% Lounge Discount on day passes.
The cash back on in-flight purchases is comparable to the benefit on the BarclayCard Aviator Cards (the BarclayCard is 25%). The 50% discount on day passes is interesting. Outside of Seattle, most people have access to Alaska Airlines lounges using Priority Pass. I currently have access via my AAdvantage Executive World Elite Mastercard.
These are the full benefits of the card.
- $99 Companion pass
- Free Checked bag
- 3 miles on Alaska Airlines purchases
- 20% back on Alaska Airlines inflight purchases
- 50% off Alaska Lounge day passes
- Access to BankAmeriDeals
- No Foreign Transaction fee
With the new benefits added to the card, I think its well worth the $75 annual fee. What do you think about the new benefit of the Alaska Airlines Visa card?
