Whats in my Wallet? (June 2017)

Every month I go through the credit cards that I’m currently carrying in my wallet. I’ll highlight the reason I’m carrying a particular card as well as any new card bonuses . Without further ado here’s what in my wallet.

U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve

This has become my main card for everyday spend as I’m trying to reach the minimum spend to get the 50000 bonus points. I’m also getting 3x points on mobile wallet transactions (Apple pay, Android pay and Samsung Pay) and Travel.

Chase Freedom

This is the card I’m using for grocery and drug store purchases as it gives me 5x ultimate rewards points for those categories.

Chase Sapphire Reserve

This is the card I use for restaurant purchases as it give me 3x spend. I’ll go back to using this card for travel purchases after I meet the minimum spend on the Altitude Reserve.

American Express Everyday Preferred

This is the card I’m using for everything else. As of right now mostly small transactions are going on this card to meet the 30 transaction criteria to receive a 50% bonus on all points earned for the month. I get 3x membership reward points for spend at supermarkets and 2x membership rewards points for spend at Gas Stations.

I’m also using this card for Best Buy, Macy’s, Boxed.com and Whole Foods purchased as I get an additional membership reward point for each dollar spent through AMEX offers.
